I didn't fully comprehend a few things about moons orbit around the earth so to understand it better I repurposed a Chrismas decoration ball as earth 🌍, a table tennis ball as moon 🌒, and a lamp as sun ☀️! It was really interesting so I decided to share it here as well! The first thing I tried to figure out how far moon really is to earth. It earth was 6.3cm in diameter like my miniature model here, moon would be about 190cm (almost 2 meters) away! #science #funfact #space #earth #moon
